Rose tinted circumstances...

Looking through rose tinted glasses ensures that one see's the world in a positive and appealing light-no matter how dire the situation.

Sometimes we wait for circumstances to change (get a better job, find the man of your dreams etc) before we start to be hopeful and faith filled. Hebrews 11:1 states that faith is being certain of what we do not see.  Let us live in anticipation and preparation of Gods goodness in our lives.  Lets create a climate around ourselves that takes hold of Gods provision.  Let our hearts remain open to his love and goodness. May we look at life through His love.  May we look at life through rose tinted glasses. May we look at life as though it already is as it should be. May we believe that we are where we need to be.

May we water the grass beneathe our feet instead of wish for greener pastures.
May we take hold of all that God has already taken hold of for us.

No matter what you face today may you see the goodness of God.  May you embrace and celebrate today for today because indeed it is a day the Lord has made.

Throwing in the towel.

"I'm so over it!". I am sure many of you have heard a friend/colleague/bypasser/ a stranger say this.  When people say this they may not fully have figured or proactively come to a reasonable resolution to their problem other than to say that the issue is now closed for discussion.  It may be tempting to say this when life throws you... yip! Lemons!  But I encourage you to sit and soak in Gods love and encouragement. Ask pappa what He thinks about the situation.

Truth be told he probably is not scared/worried/anxious about the situation that you may find yourself in.   In fact he probably has the best solution for you!  May you not grow weary in doing good.  May you continue the good work and watch God continue the good work within you to completion...

May you pick up the towel, wipe your forehead and continue on!

Just this weekend I was thinking how my current job doesnt pay well, has its aches and strains etc.
What I was really needing was encougement rather than a quick solution to run away.  Upon arrival at school today a girl in my class greeted me with an envelope.  Within the envelope was a colourful card with enough encouragement , sparkles and hope to carry me through this job...

May you be dunked in Gods love. May you be encouraged.  May you surround yourselves with saints to lift you up!

It isn't over until the fat lady sings or in this case... until... God says its over!

Dunked in His Love

As the url address suggests this blog is inclined towards being DUNKED in Gods love...

Everyday we can look around at the dire state of the world around us OR we can be so SATURATED in the love of God that we can become the solutions to the problems we face such as Racism, Fascism, xenophobia, Murder, rape and the lists goes on.

I will share with you some of the ways in which I saturate myself in the love of God in order to energize and facilitate growth in and around me.

I follow Jenn Johnson on Instagram and on the Bethel website.  Jenn Johnson is a worshiper and song writer at Bethel.  Her uninhibited worship reminds me of the love of the father.  It draws me closer the the loving daddy that God is ( not only for me but you too! )

Lying in the bath is also a practical and soothing experience whereby I meditate on the endless love of Father God.  I think of how He provides even forthe lilies    and doves and how much more he cares for me, His princess.
My imagination is another thing that I access often to escape into a pappa hug or chat.  Call me crazy but it works for me admist the choas and mess this world has to offer.

So please give yourself a moment, a place to just sit, read, meditate on the Love the Father has for you.
